SERVICES

Psychotherapy

I employ the use of psychological methods to help a person change behavior, increase happiness, and overcome issues related to the present or past. Virtual therapy is clinical in nature and targets the "here and now" while exploring the origins of where blockages originated; together we will identify where you have gotten "stuck" in life and how to move forward from stagnant states of being.

Trauma Therapy

I employ the use of somatic (body) techniques and EMDR (reprocessing) techniques to uncover traumatic events that have affected one's life in a negative way. Somatic experiencing can unlock the trauma in the body and help restore the nervous system to equilibrium. EMDR can assist in reprocessing an event with the use of right and left hand or foot movements within the virtual platform, to engage the right and left parts of the brain. Both Somatic Experiencing and EMDR are evidenced based treatments for the healing of trauma. Somatic Experiencing and EMDR directly work on the fight, flight, freeze or collapse response in order to restore the body to wholeness. Read more about EMDR.

Yoga Psychotherapy, Meditation and Mindfulness

A therapeutic approach that will enable you to turn inwards toward your emotions in a non-threatening way. This gentle approach helps you integrate your system into a whole unit, holistically, by connecting the body, mind and soul. Yogic philosophy and breathing techniques are utilized in addition to meditation and mindfulness techniques to enable you to open your heart to greater abundance, and to reduce fearful and limiting beliefs.

Exposure, Response Prevention (ERP)

ERP is one of the most effective evidenced based treatments for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). People who receive ERP therapy can gradually reduce their anxieties and stop the problematic cycle of OCD. For severe cases, ERP works best in conjunction with medication and consistent exposures between sessions. Clients must be willing to do homework in between sessions, similarly to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Goal Directed Therapy and Coaching

A directive approach where the client is willing and able to move more quickly to achieve their goals. This is appropriate for people who have done deep therapeutic work previously, and prefer to be coached into achieving their goals. The approach is not as gentle as the previous ones, and is recommended for those who wish to move forward at their highest potential while taking full accountability and responsibility for their current states of being.
